Our Legacy...

SweetFace Face Painting was created by my grandmother Barbara Tolbert. Her art was said to be the highlight of many holidays and family gatherings. Managing a small business on your own for so many years could take a toll on anyone, but she always kept her family close. Her grandchildren, in particular, were her whole world. She'd often bring one of us with her to her big jobs as her "little helper". We watched in awe as she carefully balanced crowds of customers young and old. Her ability to light up the room was a true sight to behold. Everyone knew she wholeheartedly loved and enjoyed her work. She had always wanted her business to live on after her passing, and she spoke fondly of the day when it would come. Even so, my family and I never imagined that day would arrive so unexpectedly soon. On the third of November 2016, our beloved angel returned home. We take some comfort in knowing that after her many years of brightening smiles, she is now smiling down from heaven.

I like to believe I developed a passion for entertainment at a young age. As a child, I was drawn to my family's love for music and art. In school, I dedicated all of my extracurricular time to choir, musical theatre, art, and pottery classes. I didn't begin face painting however until I was 16 years old.

Being one of the eldest grandchildren, I volunteered to pick up what my grandma left behind. With the help of my family and my grandmother's lingering wisdom, I accepted her paints and finished one of her last scheduled jobs. In doing so, I witnessed the passion and creativity that came with painting faces. I realized her purpose and what kept her spirit always warm. Since that day, I have continued to paint on in her memory. I understand that life is filled with unexpected hardships but even more so, I now see the hidden opportunities.

I've had to balance a few jobs and finish school to get where I am now. I've changed our website, brushes, and paints but our goals and name have stayed the same. I strive to make SweetFace face painting affordable and inclusive to people of all backgrounds and beliefs. I only use hypoallergenic face makeup and clean painting tools to ensure the safety of all my clients. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns about SweetFace Face Painting. For a quicker response time, I recommend emailing or texting me directly. I´m thankful for your time and support!
